This full-time position is to cover a long-term absence, starting after Easter. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting lessons to meet the needs of different abilities. Use a range of teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and foster a love for the subject. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide feedback to support their development. Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence in Maths. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning atmosphere. Work collaboratively with the Maths department to develop resources and share best practices. Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and contribute to the wider school community. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Mathematics. Effective classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students.
