Description
Torbay Council is seeking a suitable candidate to work in our admissions team. This role is a part-time position.
As part of the team, you will work to review applications for school placements, working directly with families and school admission colleagues to ensure that children and young people are able to access school placements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the admissions processes, good administrative skills, and be proficient in the use of IT.
As a forward-facing role, you will need excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form. You must be able to prioritize work, be organized, and committed to providing an excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will benefit from working with highly supportive colleagues. This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.

1. Basic knowledge of schools/types and functions.
Experience & Qualifications

1. 4 GCSEs A-C or equivalent including Maths and English.
2. Experience of working in an office environment.
3. Experience in the use of IT packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet.
