So, there is no better time to join us Reporting to the Operations Director, CrossCountry are recruiting a Head of Train Service Delivery to lead the delivery of the train service at CrossCountry and to be the focal point for liaison with industry partners in delivery of this service. Principle Responsibilities: (These are not exhaustive) Delivery of the CrossCountry train service in line with the train plan. Lead service planning for the business at timescales less than T-12 weeks. Develop and maintain appropriate contingency plans for scenarios affecting train service delivery. Deliver the highest standards of customer information and disruption management in line with license obligations. Provide leadership to the CrossCountry Train Service Delivery team through Service Delivery Managers and Current Operations Manager. Represent CrossCountry across the rail industry in issues of train service delivery. Build effective working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders including Network Rail. Create and embed a culture of continuous improvement in train service delivery. Identify and implement strategic plans to develop standards and efficiency of train service delivery including effective implementation of digital technology. Support peers in the operational leadership team to achieve their objectives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the wider Operations Team. Maintain and continuously develop an effective people strategy for Train Service Delivery to achieve company objectives. This will include training and development, recruitment, management support and employee engagement Ensure that Cross Country train service delivery systems and procedures comply with company and industry standards Deliver the medium-term financial plan in line with manpower planning, performance budgets, project delivery and systems forecasting Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training Proven track record of effectively leading and motivating teams Experience of using KPIs and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement Able to build effective and influencing relationships with key stakeholders and lead a team to achieve effective internal and external stakeholder management Experience of project management principles and / or relevant project management qualifications and evidence of improvement delivery Experience of using and introducing technology to drive service delivery improvements Experience of working in a railway operating environment.
