As an IT Asset Administrator, your duties involve setting up computers, workstations and mobile devices for users and repairing IT hardware such as laptops, organising the purchase and replacement of equipment, supporting and advising colleagues with their use of this equipment. Our working day can be fast passed, so accuracy and good communication skills are a key part of the role. We also work closely with our colleagues throughout the IT department and our wider services throughout Voyage Care. You will be liaising with different teams working on projects and day-to-day running of a business with a large user base. The role involves reaching out to our existing & new colleagues using/requiring our equipment to check requirements and retrieval of unused equipment where needed. The asset team's key responsibilities include managing the IT assets across the organisation. This includes managing the availability of equipment, life cycles and warranties, arranging deliveries and collections for sites and colleagues across the UK. Ultimately, our team ensures colleagues have the equipment they need in a timely manner. The role is based at our Group Support office in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Our working week runs on a split shift pattern rolling over a three-week period covering Monday to Friday (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm). Key Responsibilities Assisting the IT department with both asset and licence management. Liaising with people via phone, email, messages, and face to face, providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly, including within our team meetings and live chat channels. Managing IT equipment availability, placing orders with suppliers and adding procurement requests in the order management system. Building, repairing, and preparing IT equipment such as Laptops, Mobile devices, Peripheral items, and other equipment ready for usage. Monitoring the IT Asset team's mailbox's, replying in a timely manner, in line with SLAs. Provide technical expertise in the identified areas listed in the IT Asset Administrator Person Specification document, to monitor, progress, and complete ITSM tickets in line with SLAs. Keeping accurate records of company equipment and software. Working with both partners and colleagues, organising the distribution and collection of IT equipment across the business. Creating knowledge articles and participate in the maintenance of the knowledge library. Participate and encourage the sharing of good practice, processes, and successes with other business areas. Any other duties commensurate with the post and/or hours of work, as may reasonably be required of you at your initial place of work or at any other of the company's establishments. New Starter/leaver processes are implemented and followed with accurate audit trails being provided on our systems. Working within agreed time frames. Ensure that every request you work on have actions recorded in the ITSM's ticket. This is to include communication with users, detailing the actions you undertook, their outcomes, and the final resolution/closure information.
