Job summary
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced CTRadiographer to assist in leading this well-established, friendly, hardworkingteam. CT experience and some leadership experience is essential.
The successfulcandidate will show innovation and dedication guiding the CT service to thenext level. The current CT service has expanded due to the increase in demand with arolling shift pattern of contracted hours over seven days including nightshifts.
There have been some exciting changes for the CT department here atRotherham with the newly developed CT suite in the acute hospital which has anew Siemens Somatom Drive Dual source CT scanner and a Siemens AS+ 128 slice CTscanner. Also cross-site the newly developed Rotherham Community DiagnosticCentre supported by a Siemens Somatom Go 32 Slice CT Scanner. This new facilityis receiving very good patient and staff feedback.
The CT Service provides services to Trauma, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Obstetricsand Gynaecology, ENT, General Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Breast, Neurologyand Stroke Services. We actively support post graduate education and haveAdvanced Practice CT Radiographers reporting CT Head and CT Colonographyexaminations. We make every effort to support growth here at TRFT, looking atinnovative ways to develop personally and professionally.
Main duties of the job
1. Deputise for the CT Lead Radiographer
2. Work closely with other modality leads and deputies
3. Attend meetings in the absence of the modality lead
4. Promote patient safety and governance
5. Maintain and improve quality of service
6. Perform staff appraisals
7. Daily operational management of CT sites
8. Manage sickness absence and work closely with HR
9. Assist with capacity and demand

13. Evidence of training in all MR or CT techniques
14. Knowledge of basic computer skills
15. Knowledge of radiation protection, IR(ME) R2000, IRR 99 and specific radiographic protocols related to clinical specialty
16. To be able to work at a high level, and to demonstrate leadership and organisational skills.
17. Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times
18. To perform the duties of the cross sectional lead when requested.
