ROLE PURPOSE
This role is to lead the Amex brand strategy in the UK. The successful candidate will work in tandem with the Dentsu Creative global team to develop and implement the brand strategy and creative for the UK market. They will have a clear perspective on what will drive the UK Amex business forward – and originate and adapt to match those business needs. This is an integrated role, with the potential for a truly idea-first and channel-agnostic approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* This role is to set the strategic direction for the Amex brand in the UK across all media.
* This will involve forming strong client partnerships, helping to guide and challenge clients across all areas of the business.
* Projects will be diverse, ranging from integrated brand campaigns to consultancy projects and new product & service development.
* The successful candidate will work with client services to identify and sell new business opportunities across the full suite of Dentsu Creative’s offering.
* The role is at the heart of an agency team, and the right person will develop and inspire other strategists and account team members.
* As part of the role, there will be a need to establish and manage effectiveness frameworks for campaigns, and to write case studies for the most successful.
* As well as delivering direction for the UK, there will be opportunities to inform and support the brand in other markets, and to influence the global strategy.
WHAT YOU BRING
* 10 years of experience within brand strategy from a top agency.
* Evidence of working across truly integrated campaigns on big budget clients.
* Experience within value proposition development and consultancy for NPD.
* Customer experience and management of comms plans and messaging hierarchies across complex customer journeys.
* Managing, mentoring, and developing junior talent.
* Track record of working with research partners to develop effective methodologies for research.
* Passion and drive to create brilliant work for one of the world’s most iconic brands.
