Accountabilities: Technical knowledge Use expertise and experience across a range of fields to make/facilitate, present and recommend design trade-off decisions Planning Create future plans which will be needed to deliver project aims Design Develop design concepts to support the project Documentation Produce technical reports to document tasks Processes Adhere to group and organisational management systems. Collaboration Proactively work with the rest of the project to ensure delivery of the project aims. Essential: A master's degree in engineering or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. Excellent working knowledge of structural and thermal engineering, solid mechanics and engineering materials. Ability to create CAD models and manufacturing drawings. Expertise in creating test plans at multiple scales, including knowledge of sensors and diagnostics for thermal and mechanical measurements. Experience in developing component designs which involve joining techniques. Familiarity with use of engineering analysis assessments for design substantiation. Good communication and technical writing skills. Good interpersonal skills Desirable: Experience in qualification of components in other industries Familiarity with the use of probabilistic life assessments
