As our new Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly, and this will require knowledge of a range of Infrastructure related technologies, including server hardware platforms, operating systems, virtualisation technologies, and cloud/SaaS.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide the technical expertise required for complex project deliverables across a Microsoft, VMWare, Dell, Citrix, and NetApp infrastructure.
* Security focused supporting vulnerability management and mitigation
* Provide effective support at a 3rd level across the infrastructure.
* Provide 3rd level support to Cloud based technologies including Azure and M365
* Support and improvement of Exchange Hybrid environments.
* Identify risks and areas for improvement across the infrastructure.
* Be part of the on-call rota to ensure incidents are effectively manage outside of business hours.
* Participate in patching and release weekend responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with:
* Strong expertise across Windows Server platforms, including VMWare virtualisation technologies.
* Experience supporting and configuring Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp deployments.
* Good understanding of Active directory and DNS
* Ability to contribute to the 3rd level technical expertise across a Microsoft, Dell, Citrix, and NetApp infrastructure.
* Experience of security products both cloud and endpoint
* Experience of the Microsoft Azure environment, including PAAS and IAAS
* Knowledge M365 configuration and support, including Exchange and MS Teams
* An understanding of networking essentials
* Experience with Powershell, including knowledge of scripting.
* An understanding of ITIL processes, including change, incident and problem management
