Job Description:
Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other support needs. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.
The Community Rehabilitation Service is an award-winning service provided by Second Step in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust and Missing Link. Shaped by people who have used mental health services, the Community Rehabilitation Service gives people the support they need to achieve their hopes and goals. We are passionate about recovery and the service is trauma-informed. The post will be based at our accommodation service in Brentry, Bristol.
You will work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist interventions, ensuring that services are tailored to individuals’ cultural and social needs. You will be responsible for the delivery of the property management of the accommodation service.
This is what one of our Recovery Navigators said about the service:
“Being a part of the community rehabilitation team is a very rewarding and varied job. I really enjoy being able to build relationships with our residents, enabling me to support them through difficult but also exciting and new experiences. I love that we can get involved with activities in the house such as communal meals and games nights, which gives the role a nice balance. It’s a pleasure to work with people and see them grow their confidence, discover their passions and develop their skills.”
More information about the post is included in the role profile.
