Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Liverpool, UK. As the Insurance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the UK insurance portfolio, reporting directly to the Group Insurance Manager. You will support various initiatives, internal projects, and business operations by ensuring that our insurance solutions and business activities are aligned. This role requires you to work closely with various stakeholders, managing and mitigating risks while supporting the group's continuous growth. You will have a keen eye for detail allowing you to establish and communicate possible risks as well as present appropriate solutions.
Responsibilities
* The ability to challenge opinions with logical arguments, previous experience in an insurance-related role, and an understanding of risk management principles.
* Proficient in interpreting and communicating complex data, numeracy, analytical thinking, and effective decision-making.
* Strong project management and organisational/planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to changing priorities.
* Results-orientated, focused on meeting agreed deadlines and objectives.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and engage stakeholders effectively in a cross-functional environment.
* Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to your work.
Required Work Experience
* Proven experience in an in-house insurance risk management function of a trading company, or a global insurance broker, or an insurer.
* Relevant experience in placing and managing UK/global insurance programmes.
Desired Qualifications
* Relevant Finance or Insurance qualification (Cert CII, DipCII or equivalent, or working towards it).
* A bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject (insurance, economics, business, or law).
