About the Role
Our Trainee Driver Role is part of our in-house Driving School. In your first 12 weeks of employment with us, you'll be driving and delivering in a 3.5 Ton Van whilst we get you ready to take a driving test for your 7.5 Ton driving licence.
Whether it’s full training and instruction on how to drive or just a medical assessment, we’ll guide and fund you to get what you need to drive a 7.5t vehicle. If you already have your 7.5 Ton entitlement, we’ll give you the training to ensure you’re safe and legal on the road and we’ll get you going as soon as we can!
Whilst you’re part of the Driving School Programme, the Sofa Delivery Company will fund all elements of your learning so you’ll be able to attain the licence and we’ll also give you time off-the-job to attend sessions during working hours. This includes your Theory & Hazard Tests, your Driver Training, and your CPC.
Once you’ve completed all elements of the course, you’ll be promoted into a 7.5T Driver Role and become a fully-fledged member of our delivery team, and get a pay increase! - it’s a win-win!
Delivering moments that matter is what we truly take pride in at the Sofa Delivery Company, and as a 7.5 Ton Driver you will be delighting our customers at the very last part of their journey, which undoubtedly leaves that all-important lasting impression.
