Salary: £88,158 - £99,229
Hours: 36 per week

We are looking for an exceptional senior manager with demonstrable experience delivering in Quality Assurance and improvement. You will have a track record of setting vision and strategy, leading change, and transformation, developing a high-performance culture and successful partnership working. You will be passionate about improving outcomes for all learners, able to give strategic direction to schools and early years centres and to lead a team of equally dedicated professionals who support and challenge. You will also be able to demonstrate that your budget is fully committed on things that really make a difference to learners, including quality professional learning and support, fully embedding collaboration and empowerment at all levels of the system.
The post holder is required to hold current full GTCS Registration and will work with a team of Heads of Education, each of whom carry a geographical as well as a thematic remit, and are responsible to the Service Director for Education. The post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
