Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager Location: BedfordHours: 9am-5pm, Monday to FridayContract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate Start Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 Depending on Experience Are you an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and deliver exceptional operational performance? This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on engagement, ensuring the smooth operation of a busy distribution site. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations, including logistics, space/capacity planning, and health & safety. Lead and mentor a team to drive productivity, efficiency, and personal development. Monitor KPIs, analyse data, and present reports to management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies. Manage the facility, equipment maintenance, and site security. Handle customs clearance and act as the central point of contact for related queries. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement improvements. Maintain accurate records, including WMS data, SOPs, and risk assessments. Conduct performance reviews, investigations, and training sessions as needed. Attend and contribute to management meetings, audits, and site inspections. Manage budget, cost centres, and invoice reconciliation. Requirements: At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Warehouse/Logistics Manager role with a proven track record. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to motivate your team. Excellent inventory management and quality control experience. High attention to detail, organisation, and accuracy. Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritisation skills. Proficiency in WMS and/or ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards. A friendly, outgoing personality with effective communication skills at all levels. Experience in pharmaceutical or ISO 9001-regulated environments. Knowledge of international shipping.
