Job Description
Role summary:
The Senior Nurse provides nursing expertise within the multi-disciplined team, overseeing patient care management and their supporting staff.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Responsible for coordinating and overseeing patient treatment
· Assumes management responsibilities of the Clinical Nursing Team as directed.
· Acts as a Coordinator between nursing units
· Undertakes regular hospital rounds if, and when required
· Provide guidance and support to ensure clinical competence of nursing staff
· Quality management – continuously focusing on improvement of systems and processes with emphasis on client needs
· Overall standards between the client and Iqarus are met and maintained
· Liaises with Clinical Governance team for clinical nursing oversight
· Arranging department shift schedules & assigning daily tasks and duties
· Maintenance and management of medical records for all patients
· Reporting patient status and statistics on a frequency dictated by both Iqarus and the client
· Management of all medical supplies, stock and equipment for the project and any resupply requirements
· Consults and coordinates with health team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
· Responsible for maintaining excellent clinical standards across department
· Any other duties as required
Qualifications
· Academic Nurse qualification with current registration/licence to practice
· Minimum of 5 Years’ post qualification experience
· Senior Nurse or leadership experience required, leadership certificate a benefit but not essential
· ATLS or PHTLS or ACLS (or equivalent level pre-hospital care certification)
