Overview
Our Employment team in Reading is looking to recruit a 2-4 year PQE Associate to join the team. The successful candidate will be based in Reading and support the partners in Reading and across all offices when needed. The candidate must have employer and HR support experience. This position involves high visibility (both within and outside the firm), including a key role in business development and full partner support, making it suitable for someone with drive and ambition. Our Reading office works with a number of well-known employers and has a significant proportion of clients in the tech and education sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Strong track record of dealing with employer advice and litigation in the Employment tribunal.
2. Undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the Employment Team and Business Services Division.
3. Contribute to the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan and firm's commonality of purpose.
4. Deliver a high-quality commercial legal service ensuring compliance with quality standards and professional ethics.
5. Act as an ambassador for the firm at all times and promote it positively.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
1. Admitted to the roll of solicitors or a member of the bar, FILEX.
2. Specialist knowledge of the relevant area of law.
3. Achieved all competency levels relevant to an Associate (mid).
