Job summary A rare opportunity has arisen for someone to lead our paediatric audiology service. For the right individual this is an exciting opportunity for your next career move. The current challenges in paediatric audiology are widely known. However, this is a role in a large tertiary service in a department that is IQIPS accredited and has been green rated in the recent desktop review. We do have waiting list challenges and additional mutual aid demands, but our service is well supported by senior hospital managers and we have good links with ENT and community paediatric audiology colleagues. We are a training department with apprentices, PTP, STP and HSST trainees. We are a research active department. You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of all areas of paediatric audiology. This is likely to be a significant step up from your current role (and support will be given), but you will be expected to be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and have existing line management and training experience. We need someone with a vision for change and an ability to implement service developments. An involvement in regional and national developments in paediatric audiology is expected. You will get to work with a fantastic team of paediatric audiologists who show innovation, flexibility and determination to ensure that our service continues to provide good care.
