We are seeking a skilled EC&I Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing organisation that has a number of vehicles that are transporting Hazardous and Chemical products across the UK. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing the electrical control panels located on the rear of our vehicles, ensuring they function safely and efficiently when they are disposing of their products on site.
Key Responsibilities for the EC&I Engineer :
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical control systems on specialist vehicles.
* Work with electrical circuits, wiring, and control panels to ensure full functionality.
* Troubleshoot faults and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
* Collaborate with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams to improve vehicle systems.
* Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* You may be required to travel to one of the UK sites if there is an onsite vehicle breakdown.
What We're Looking For in a EC&I Engineer :
* Experience in electrical systems, within specialist or commercial vehicles.
* Experience in electrical systems, within a Production, Manufacturing and Engineering background.
* Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, wiring, and control panel repairs.
* A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar (NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to repairs.
* A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail.
