Protocol are proud to be working with an established FE college group based in West London in their search for an experienced Head of Estates for a permanent position with a salary of up to £51,570 per annum.
This College is just one of nine dedicated adult and community colleges in the UK, placing them in a unique segment of the education sector. They were established in 2017 but have roots dating back to 1895, with an emphasis on providing expertise in learning for wellbeing, skills for life, and career development to disadvantaged women, people who have a disability, and adults in need of improved wellbeing and career development.
We are working closely with this college group’s HR team who is currently looking for an experienced Head of Estates who will be responsible for all aspects of the leadership and management of the Estates and Health & Safety functions of the College.
Role responsibilities:
* Effective maintenance and upkeep of the estate
* Compliance with all Health and Safety and other relevant regulations
* Effective leadership and management of the Estates team
* Manage successful estates projects that enhance the way we teach, learn and work
* Management and monitoring of outsourced cleaning and security service contracts
* On-going review of estates policies and procedures to ensure they are in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice
The person & qualifications:
* Hold Estate management experience in an organisation and site of equivalent or greater scale and complexity
* Experience in leading and developing an overall estates service
* Experience of contributing to strategy and able to offer expertise on day-to-day operations and future developments
* Strong project and financial management experience of budgets, procurement, and ensuring value for money
* Experience working within education or a college environment is desirable
