A Key Technical Expert Role: Delivering IT Solutions with Reliability and Cost-Effectiveness
We are seeking a highly skilled technical expert to join our Business Support and Infrastructure team at Hargreaves. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering IT solutions across business operations and projects, ensuring a secure, resilient, and cost-effective IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the Group IT Manager and wider IT team to support and deliver the IT strategy, focusing on network security and resilience.
* Operational Excellence: Assist in day-to-day IT function operation, enhancing end-user experience and driving project improvements and cost-effectiveness.
* Network Uptime: Support Wide Area Network uptime and group-wide connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Integration and Support: Collaborate on company acquisitions and provide infrastructure and network-related task support.
* Technical Assistance: Offer comprehensive infrastructure, technical, and business software support to all Business Units within the Hargreaves group.
* Project Leadership: Assume responsibility for IT Infrastructure and Technical projects, prioritizing quality and efficiency.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication and planning skills, effectively managing change and engaging stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven track record in IT technical and business support environments, delivering strategic group-wide IT solutions.
* Certifications: Relevant IT qualifications with a focus on Infrastructure, networking, and business support/helpdesk duties.
* Expertise: Extensive experience in IT Infrastructure, servers, firewalls, routers, support, and networks.
* Knowledge: Broad understanding of common infrastructure technologies, including storage, servers, networks, security, and end-user computing.
* Attributes: Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, good team player, and a positive approach to business challenges.
