Role: Audio Visual Project Engineer

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we now have a newly created opportunity for an experienced AV Project Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be heavily involved in ‘Innovative Projects’; have fantastic technology exposure; be immersed in a highly collaborative environment; and will have superb opportunities for personal professional growth, as we are committed to career development, with access to continuous learning opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
1. Work within the technical team and provide technical support for the duration of projects.
2. Produce system schematics including audio, video, control, and power.
3. Ensure that the equipment specified is correct for the installation.
4. Produce rack layouts.
5. Co-ordinate the production of M&E drawings with the CAD team.
6. Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure all requirements are accounted for.
7. Liaise with 3rd party trades/subcontractors to ensure smooth integration.
8. Test system racks to ensure they meet the requirements and rectify faults prior to shipping.
9. Commission equipment, including programming of audio DSPs, setup of digital video systems/video conferencing systems.
10. Fault find systems and resolve issues associated with design and manufacture.
11. Provide technical training to the client during project handover.
Skills and experience:
1. Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands.
2. Ability to produce AV diagrams including control flow diagrams, video and audio components.
3. An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends.
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
6. Ability to commission control systems and troubleshoot; programming skills are a plus.
7. CAD experience is required.
8. Knowledge of IT and audio tuning is an advantage.
