Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Southampton, with on-site work during field projects. Flexible and remote working arrangements may be available for the right candidates
Salary: £25,000 - £55,000 per year basic plus fieldwork allowances and bonuses

About the Role:
As a key member of our small team, you will work both independently and collaboratively with clients on diverse geophysical surveying projects. Your focus will be on vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, and processing, utilizing a variety of geophysical data sources, including side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, magnetometer, and seismic data. Projects may range from short, intensive operations to extended multi-week engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup and operate geophysical survey equipment
Conduct on-board and remote quality control (QC) of data
Process and interpret geophysical data
Lead the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Manage data and reporting processes
Research and implement improvements in geophysical methods
Assist in training and mentoring other team members

Schedule:
Flexible working hours when in the office
Standard hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 9 AM to 5 PM
Weekend work during field operations, with time off in lieu
Qualifications Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant geoscience discipline (preferred)
Experience:
Experience with one of the following as a minimum:
Magnetometer Processing and Interpretation (ideally in Oasis Montaj)
Shallow high resolution seismic processing or interpretation (as applicable to site surveys)
Sidescan Sonar Processing and Interpretation
Shallow high resolution marine geophysical data acquisition
Licence/Certification:
Valid UK Driving License
Fieldwork Commitment:
Willingness to travel for fieldwork, with a minimum of 25% of time spent in the field (typically 2 to 4-week rotations)
