Job summary Band 4 Care Act Assessor post available in South Staffs Community Team 2 - Adult Social Care. HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (5 days - 7.5 hrs a day) An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Teams Adult Social Care in South staffs for a Band 4 Care Act Assessor. This is a permanent position and is an ideal opportunity for someone at the beginning of their social care career who wants to experience a wide range of opportunities in adult social services. The team successful applicant will be joining is configured of social workers, social care assessors and Care act Assessors, therefore it would be suited to someone who has an interest in the welfare of those in the community of South Staffordshire and surrounding areas. Main duties of the job The role involves being part of a busy community assessment and review team and involves working closely with service-users, carers, partner agencies and other professionals providing assessment of need, signposting, information, care planning and reviewing in line with The Care Act (2014) and Mental Capacity Act (2005). A good knowledge of the services available to support and promote independence in the community is a benefit but not essential as an induction and full training will be provided.
