Job Title: Despatch Manager
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: £30,000 (plus Monthly Bonus + Yearly Bonus)
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday – Thurs 8.30am – 5pm
Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient layout and stock storage.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
* Manage, train, and support the warehouse team to maintain high levels of productivity and performance.
* Implement team schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate stock recording through regular audits and stock takes.
* Implement effective stock rotation and control processes.
* Plan and coordinate daily despatch activities to ensure all orders are packed and shipped on time.
* Manage relationships with delivery partners to negotiate competitive rates, especially for time-critical shipments.
* Track shipments to ensure timely and safe delivery to clients and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Continuously review processes to enhance warehouse and despatch efficiency.
* Implement KPIs and reporting to track and improve warehouse performance.
Qualifications and Skills
• Proven experience in warehouse and despatch management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in stock management systems and logistics software.
• Strong negotiation skills for managing delivery service contracts and pricing.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle time-sensitive despatch operations.
