Job Title: Media and IT Teacher
Salary: £31,650.00-£43,608.00 pro rata (Dependent on Experience)
Working Hours: 3 days per week, term time only

In Toto Ed has a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Peterborough, making a real difference in our students’ lives. We are seeking a Media and IT teacher who will be able to teach our student’s 3 days per week.

We teach in small groups with a dedicated and experienced teaching team, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and care. We create individual learning packages to support our students' needs.
Main Duties
Curriculum Planning and Delivery
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for Media and IT (KS3 upwards) and basic skills in other subjects.
* Prepare and engage students through bespoke lessons based on their interests.
* Monitor, assess, and report on student progress via grade cards, reports, and Parents’ Evenings.
* Ensure student progression using formative and summative assessments, aligned with school policies.
Classroom and Administration
* Maintain attendance records and comply with school policies.
* Organise teaching resources and manage classroom environments.
* Supervise and support teaching assistants with lesson planning, evidence collection, and student observations.
* Promote links with local industry to prepare students for adult life and careers.
Department and Subject Leadership
* Attend department meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and create subject materials.
* Write and follow schemes of work and update subject resources as needed.
* Collaborate with colleagues to align subject delivery with school standards.
Pastoral and Behaviour Management
* Serve as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and maintaining student well-being.
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, orderly learning environment.
* Follow health and safety policies to safeguard students and staff.
Professional Responsibilities
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events, including Parents’ Evenings.
* Provide cover for absent colleagues and assist in examination invigilation.
* Participate in performance management and appraisal processes.
* Contribute to the wider school community and Enrichment Programme.
Safeguarding
* Maintain an Enhanced DBS check and complete Child Protection Training.
* Ensure the welfare and safety of all students under their care.
Other Duties
* Support the school’s aims and policies, follow the Staff Handbook, and uphold equal opportunities.
* Notify leadership promptly of absences and provide appropriate cover work.
* Participate in the professional development of colleagues and contribute to a welcoming school environment.

About You
· Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and ability to motivate students of all abilities.
· Effective communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
· Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification/experience.
· A passion for mathematics and improving student outcomes.
· Complete Child Protection Training. Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young person’s they are responsible for, or come into contact with.
