Accounts Assistant - £30k (negotiable DOE) - Worcster
Are you a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support a growing finance team, working closely with the Head of Department and Finance Controller to manage key financial transactions and reporting.
If you have experience processing accounts up to trial balance within an SME and hands-on expertise with Sage 50 (Essential), we’d love to hear from you! An AAT qualification would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
* Monitor and manage the main accounts email, responding to urgent queries.
* Raise high volumes of sales invoices daily via Sage 50 and send to customers.
* Oversee credit control, reconciling sales ledgers and customer accounts using Sage 50 and CRM software.
* Process sales and purchase transactions, verifying sales orders in the CRM system.
* Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and reconcile loan accounts.
* Assist in financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis of company expenses.
* Collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies and account queries.
* Provide cover for finance team members during absences.
* Maintain financial documents and CRM records.
* Support general administrative tasks within the finance department.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
* Proficiency in Sage 50 (Essential).
* Strong data entry skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of financial services and basic accounting principles.
* Ability to handle high volumes of emails, invoices, and financial data.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication with a team-focused mindset.
