QC Inspector/ Quality Assurance
Location: Wrexham (fully onsite)
Type: Permanent
Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
Our client, a leading established and specialist UK manufacturing business, is looking to recruit for an experienced QC Inspector. This is a rare role in the sense that the successful applicant will be given the opportunity to progress quickly within the company as they plan to invest in R&D/NPD, QC testing, and quality improvement.
The Role:
1. Responsible for regular checking and documenting of production unit process parameters, settings, temperatures, and product visual quality.
2. Testing includes (but is not limited to) tensile testing, batch control, raw materials testing, etc.
3. Perform inspections and testing of random samples from all production units, identifying both defects and corrective actions within the manufacturing process.
4. Check, validate, and test incoming raw materials including paperwork.
5. Check and validate all dispatches to ensure they are to standard, correct in number and quality, and have the correct documentation.
6. Manage quarantine products, ensuring routing for non-compliant material is identified and actioned.
7. Manage non-conformance reported by customers, investigating, recording, and responding using recognized quality management tools such as 5Y, 8D, Fishbones, etc.
8. Ensure compliance with all ISO Management processes identified and delegated to them.
9. Maintain records for all calibrating and measuring equipment.
10. Question the nature of defects while providing future solutions.
11. Alert the Operations Manager to problems and deliver resolutions.
12. Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency, integrity, and compliance.
13. Fill out and maintain necessary paperwork.
14. Comply with all standards, internal policies, and legal regulations that apply to both raw materials and finished goods.
15. Compare finished products to original standards.
16. Provide a positive and proactive approach to maintaining quality standards throughout the company.
The Person:
1. Will have worked in a similar role in a regulated manufacturing setting (ideally automotive, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing settings).
2. Experienced in QC test-work/inspection & associated paperwork.
3. Adherence (possibly implementation too) of ISO standards.
4. Will have some associated QA & validation experience.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and proactiveness.
