Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new challenge? We are hiring a Roadside HGV Technician to provide breakdown and emergency repair services across Tipton and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading fleet maintenance company offering excellent salary packages, company van, career progression, and full training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend HGV roadside breakdowns to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
* Perform emergency repairs on brakes, suspension, and axles.
* Conduct welding and structural repairs when required.
* Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
* Ensure all work is compliant with safety and industry standards.
* Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.
* Provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients under pressure.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter.
* Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Full UK driving license (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential).
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
* IRTEC accreditation.
* Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in HGV Repair).
* Experience with tail lifts, lifting decks, or double-deck trailer maintenance.
