Exciting Opportunity: Team Lead Physiotherapist in Cardiac, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Respiratory Outpatient Services!
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of cardio-respiratory care? We’re seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to take on a pivotal Band 7 Team Lead position within our dynamic Cardiac, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Respiratory Outpatient service.
As the Team Lead, you will guide and work alongside an experienced group of Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Cardiac Rehab Nurses, and Assistants, collaborating to provide exceptional care. This is an incredible opportunity to work in cardio-respiratory outpatients, with a diverse caseload that includes gym-based exercise classes, educational sessions, and pre-exercise assessments.
Your role will also encompass facilitating student placements, driving service improvement (including our current Pulmonary Rehab Accreditation), supervising staff, and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Rehabilitation: Provide comprehensive rehabilitation for patients with cardiac and/or pulmonary conditions, along with other comorbidities.
2. Support Complex Cases: Assist staff in managing caseloads for patients with complex needs, ensuring high-quality care.
3. Service Improvement: Contribute to the completion of our Pulmonary Rehab Accreditation, enhancing service delivery.
4. Team Operations: Oversee the daily functioning of the team to ensure efficient workflows and patient care.
5. Clinical Development: Lead the implementation of evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols within the specialty.
6. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Act as an integral member of the wider multidisciplinary team.
7. Supervision and Appraisals: Provide clinical supervision and appraisals for staff members.

Clinical & Professional Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all Trust Risk Management, Research Governance, and Infection Control Policies.
2. Maintain personal security and that of others you meet and the security of the department's and Trust's property.
3. Participate in Departmental Governance/Quality Framework, clinical audit, and research.
4. Lead the development and evaluation of evidence-based guidelines/standards of good practice.
Teaching & Training Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, training, and mentoring/supervision for less experienced Therapists.
2. Organize and lead training programmes for colleagues on the specialist area of Rehabilitation.
Line Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and provide clinical support to less experienced Therapy staff.
2. Assist/deputise for Therapy Manager including the supervision of junior staff, Students, and Assistants.
