VSK Education Support Officer (Key stage 1 to 4)
Are you passionate about supporting Children in Care to achieve better educational outcomes? We have an exciting opportunity for an Education Support Officer to join our friendly, dynamic, and supportive team at the Virtual School Kent, a service within KCC. The role involves supporting schools, stakeholders, and young people in care within the South Kent area.
Your main duty will include managing a caseload of Young People and Children in Care, ensuring they have high-quality, up-to-date, and regularly reviewed Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
You will collaborate with school staff, social workers, multi-agency partners, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people in care.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and flexible, with a good understanding of the education system and a commitment to inclusion.

This is a Term Time only contract, initially ending on 1st April 2025, with potential renewal depending on funding. The main base is Brook House in Whitstable.
The role involves a hybrid working pattern, including home-based, office-based, and attending meetings at various educational settings across the area, requiring travel.
