As Senior Study Manager you will be responsible for designing and directing the CEU's portfolio of studies and trials, which is a crucial strategic role. You will develop standard operating procedures for all aspects of the research, obtain and maintain ethical and regulatory approvals, provide timely progress reports to senior management team meetings, track progress of the studies and trials against objectives, create partnerships and manage stakeholders, and track and ensure impact. Examples of previous studies led by CEU: INTERVAL trial: 50,000 blood donors randomized into a pragmatic trial to determine whether blood can be safely and acceptably collected from donors by NHSBT (England's blood service) more frequently than present practice and at similar intervals to current customs in some other European countries. COMPARE: 30,000 blood donors enrolled into an observation study to determine the best method for measuring iron levels in blood donors. STRIDES: 1.4 million blood donors enrolled into a cluster randomized trial to assess different strategies to prevent fainting during or after blood donation. BELIEVE: 75,000 individuals recruited into an observational study in Bangladesh. The studies will be delivered under the supervision of the Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Donor Health.
