Mechanic - Job Purpose
Reporting to and working with the leading mechanic and certifier on the zone/aircraft as allocated.
Mechanic - Job Accountabilities
Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using the latest approved documentation and procedures.
Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times.
Maintain awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors.
Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards and in line with the client MOE.
Ensure that they keep their personal work area, hangar bays and facility clean and tidy at all times.
Notify the company of any significant findings as soon as possible.
Raise a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident.
Hold a Mechanic Authorisation.
Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by client.

Mechanic - Budget accountability:
The Mechanic does not have any budget responsibility but must understand and manage the budget ascribed to the station.
Mechanic - Operating Environment
The role is based in the Base Station environment dependent of where the role is required. The normal working week does not exceed 40 hours based on shifts relevant to the operation. There may be occasions due to operational reasons where it is necessary to work outside of these hours. 5,5,4.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Qualification & Education:
A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar.
Technical Skills Required:
Proven work history in a base maintenance environment
Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset.Training & Knowledge:
You will need to demonstrate your technical experience as well as leadership behaviours, be able to work on your own initiative and make timely decisions.
Have the ability to interpret technical publications and make fact-based decisions.
You need to have a flexible approach, show initiative, and deliver to tight deadlines.
Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
High standard of English language (written and oral)
High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
