If so we have an exciting opportunity to join the Business Management Group where you will focus on providing support to business units within Service Delivery and Strategy, Planning and Innovation teams within APHA.
We currently have 2 Business Manager roles available, 1 role for Scotland and 1 role for Wales.
We are looking for conscientious individuals who are not afraid to embrace a varied role where no two days will be the same. You’ll have the support of a team of Business Managers who strive to provide excellent customer service to Budget Holders, Finance Business Partners and the wider business, providing accurate and useful data to make sound decisions.
Our Business Manager roles provide an exciting opportunity to work closely with Budget Holders and their cost centre managers to develop relationships for robust budget and management information support.
These are varied roles, and you will have the flexibility to turn your hand to different tasks as the situation demands. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* You will have an aptitude for numbers, communicating management information effectively to enable effective decisions, provide continuous improvement and respond well to emerging issues.
* You will be responsible for providing financial and business support to cost centres. You will oversee and be responsible for the management of the operational business unit budget, ensuring robust and transparent financial management in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Be responsible for supporting the Budget Holder and Operational Budget Manager. This includes budget management, forecasting, payroll reconciliation, monthly journals and providing detail on the monthly financial position.
* Adhere to a monthly, quarterly and annual calendar of events. You will need to be highly organised and adaptable to meet these deadlines.
