The vacancies: Assistant Procurement Manager- generalist Assistant Procurement Manager- Social value and Sustainability Assistant Procurement Manager- housing/construction Key Responsibilities: Assist with the development and implementation of category strategies, aligning to commissioning and commercial objectives. Develop and implement approaches and solutions to complex procurements to drive cost savings and efficiency. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Take a proactive approach to managing suppliers to ensure performance standards set out in contracts and manage risks effectively. Lead on projects and tenders, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and legislation. Take a continuous improvement approach to identify and deliver on ongoing changes whilst leading on contract negotiation and commercial changes to ensure contracts consistently meet business needs. Provide advice and support to stakeholders. Essential Criteria: CIPS, working towards, equivalent or evidence of CPD. Strong public sector regulation knowledge, including the Procurement Act 2023. Experience of a category management approach in procurement. Experience leading and delivering on multiple tenders In public sector regulations Desirable Criteria: Experience delivering on social value objectives and/or in the construction/housing categories.
