Quality Control Inspector Location: Coleshill Contract : Permanent, Full time Salary : Circa £28,000 depending on experience You must be eligible to reside and work in the UK to apply for this position, as sponsorship is not available. We are looking for a responsible Quality Control Inspector for inspection and approval of incoming goods/components; and In-Process Quality Control of assemblies using suitably maintained metrology equipment. The person will ideally be able to use engineering measuring tools: verniers, micrometres, gauges, CMM, FARO arm, etc. They will be required to create reports after inspection and/or measurement activities and are expected to work well within a Team of other Quality Professionals, and in some cases, a cross-functional team. The role will require interaction with customers and colleagues, operational flexibility, agility in response to change, patience, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations. They will ensure that proper recordkeeping is maintained, as well as adherence to instructions, procedures, policies, protocols, and other provisions of the quality management system of the business. They shall possess a keen interest to learn and have good attention to detail. Skills: Use of measuring tools (verniers, gauges, micrometres, CMM, FARO, etc.). Experience reading from 3D CAD and engineering drawings including GD&T/2D drawings. Good written and verbal communication Computer literate: use of a computer and MS Office. Understanding & experience of stock control Understanding & experience of goods incoming and outgoing Knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 desirable Responsibilities: Conduct detailed inspections of various components and assemblies to ensure they meet specified standards. Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of all quality checks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any quality concerns or deviations from established standards. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues. Handling measurement samples for storage and archiving. Ensuring that measurement equipment is maintained and within calibration. Manage workload effectively. Adhere to the policies of the business. Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
