Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary School in Fleetwood who are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting ASAP. The role is to work in a larger than average primary school that is easy to access via public transport or car.
The school are looking for a SEN TA to work with a child in Year 2 with severe SEND. It is essential that applicants have prior experience supporting learners with SEN, specifically ASC. The child works from an EHCP, and the successful TA would be expected to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to plan sessions in line with the EHCP to encourage consistent development. The child can display challenging behaviours so a Team Teach qualification or experience with de-escalation would be beneficial.
The school are looking for a dedicated SEN TA who will offer consistent support to the child and will offer social and emotional as well as academic support. KS1 experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
