The Mechanical Engineer will assist with the release and maintenance of our current product offering, integration of new products to the Doncaster portfolio, and provide bespoke innovative solutions to meet the packaging needs of our customers. This role supports the Engineering Excellence strategy within our “BW Way” business system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Modelling and detailing of machined, fabricated, sheet metal parts, and assemblies
2. The specification of drive and pneumatic systems
3. Producing design calculations, P&ID’s, and other supporting documentation
4. Updating facility layout drawings to an as-supplied state and creating new ones if required
5. Ensuring all engineering outputs comply with relevant directives and harmonised standards, and that design risk assessments are completed
6. Uploading detailed BOMs to our ERP system and releasing them for manufacture
7. Creating customer documentation that accurately reflects the supplied equipment
8. Performing any other tasks necessary to fulfill the duties of the role
Occasional UK/International travel to our customers and other Barry Wehmiller locations may be required to meet business needs. Flexibility to work additional hours in the evenings and on weekends when necessary is also expected.
Will also be expected to carry out any other duties that are reasonably asked of you.
