Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Group Accounts Management:
* Manage group accounts, including consolidation and reconciliation processes.
* Streamline group accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Management:
* Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
* Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring alignment with team members' skills and development goals.
* Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and facilitate training as necessary.
Process Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for process optimization within the finance department.
* Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance productivity and accuracy.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
* CIMA, ACCA, ACA
* Strong man management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
* Demonstrated experience in process improvement.
* Good working knowledge of Xero and application integrations would be an advantage.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
