As the Planned Maintenance Manager, you will lead, plan, and schedule work for a team of mechanical and electrical technicians to ensure the availability, serviceability, and performance of operationally critical South West Water assets and processes. You will support the team and provide technical support for diagnosis and resolution of complex problems, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of operational services. You will deliver planned maintenance activities and provide timely responses to operational issues and challenges in meeting South West Water pollution targets. You will need to be resilient, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and reorganise tasks and priorities while maintaining a positive, flexible approach to work.
What you'll be doing:
* Accountable for establishing planned maintenance schedules against identified M&E assets for delivery attained within SLA.
* Establish relationships with operational management in the wastewater function to understand their objectives, regulatory challenges, and process criticality to ensure alignment on delivery priorities.
* Manage and build relationships with M&E service providers to support planned maintenance activities.
* Engage with the stores and logistics team to ensure a fully optimised supply chain that maximises availability of parts and materials that mitigates compliance risk.
* Ensure M&E assets are maintained and operated to the correct standards, improving process and pollution compliance.
* Manage requests from internal stakeholders regarding planned maintenance activities.
* Ensure M&E field team workload is managed effectively, using technical knowledge and operational relationships to prioritise work baskets.
* Develop, build, and maintain the planned maintenance schedule tasks to ensure serviceability and resilience of operational M&E assets, using the company's scheduling platform.
* Identify improvements and efficiencies within the M&E maintenance schedule and introduce innovative ways of working.
* Responsible for the ongoing review and optimisation of planned maintenance activities.
* Provide timely response to operational issues, performing onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems, and enforce adherence to established standards and change governance.
* Responsible for providing technical leadership and advice to your team, colleagues, and other stakeholders, as well as driving maintenance and efficiency optimisation.
* Support team members through 1:1 and appraisal processes to ensure objectives are met, personal development is achieved, and recognition is gained.
* Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to, inclusive of carrying out risk assessments and permits to ensure the safety of the team.
* Responsible for ensuring the M&E team have the appropriate training and development.
* Accountable for meeting OPEX and CAPEX budgets assigned to the role.
* Carry out other tasks as required by the Operational Maintenance M&E Managers.
* Help support effective decision making with appropriate escalation where necessary to safeguard personnel, product, and outcome targets.
* Participate in Regional M&E DFM Rota.

Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science subject (or equivalent).
* Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship in any of the MEICA disciplines.
* Ability to lead a high performing team in order to achieve optimum performance.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, both verbally and written, to people at all levels of the business including external stakeholders.
* Excellent organisation skills.
* Knowledge in areas of process, systems, legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Inspires others to perform by setting a good example and promoting personal development.
* Effectively organises and plans work according to the needs of the situation by defining objectives clearly and thinking ahead about what will be needed.
* Experience enhancing and developing the team.
* Ability to effectively manage team meetings and one to ones with individuals.
