Vetro Social Care is recruiting Children's Support Workers for Children Residential Services. You will be working 2:1 with other staff members and children in their Homes.
Overview:
* Pay: £13.68 - £27.36 inclusive of holiday pay
* Location: Llanwern
* Time: 08:00-23:00 Sleep - 07:00-08:00, Waking Nights available from 22:45pm - 08:15am.

What you'll be doing as a Children's Worker:
* Support the children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
* Be restraint trained, or be willing to undergo the 3-day course.
* Promote the young person's independence and wellbeing
* Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
* Participate in weekend and evening activities to support the children and young people in their interests, which can range from climbing and baking to weekends away in Butlins.
* Protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
* Provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
* Ensure the safety of young people by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
* Support, overcome, and learn to minimize incidents when behavior can be challenging.
What you'll need to be a successful Children's Support Worker:
* A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
* Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
* At least 6 months experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
* TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
* The right to work in the UK
