Exeter College Boat Club (Oxford) – Head Rowing Coach
Exeter College Boat Club is looking for a dedicated and driven Head Coach to join us from the 2024-25 academic year to oversee our Men’s and Women’s squads, as we begin entering external regattas and continue to push our athletes to the highest levels.
ECBC is looking to hire a Head Coach to manage both of our men’s and women’s squads. We believe the best way of maintaining a cohesive club is to spread resources evenly across our men’s and women’s sides, and we also have a wide range of ability and fitness levels, so applicants should feel comfortable coaching at all levels.
Our top priority is maintaining a fun and friendly environment, balancing pushing our top athletes to the highest levels with ensuring an inclusive atmosphere. It is vital that any applicant can maintain a balance between healthy competition and inclusivity. We have a lot of healthy competition for seats in the first VIII on our women’s side, an atmosphere we want to continue and extend to our men’s side.
Our season is based around the intercollegiate bumps races in March and June, with training largely being focused on preparation for this. We now have the budget to attend external regattas, so our goal is to also field competitive boats for these events.
