I live at home with my family in the Newark area of Nottinghamshire. I am looking for caring individuals to join my current team, supporting me with my care needs throughout the day and night. You will be required to assist me with all aspects of personal care including PEG feeding, PEG care and administering medication, moving & handling including all transfers, ventilation and suction when I need it. ABOUT YOU You need to be: enthusiastic,patient, have experience in supporting individuals with a learning disability, strong communication skills, have a caring nature, trustworthy, respectful, take direction and possesses a genuine commitment to the role. I need 2:1 support 24/7. My Mum will support employees in an informal capacity if required. It is really important that we get on well, as companionship is a key element to this role. Experience working with someone with complex needs and supporting them in their own home is desired but not essential, as comprehensive training will be given. Flexibility of working hours is important to meet my needs, and will include covering weekends, bank holidays, staff holidays and sickness as required.
