The emphasis for the successful candidate is on excellent knowledge and experience of delivering controls, instrumentation, and electrical power distribution projects within a heavy manufacturing environment. Applications are invited from ECI engineers / electrically - biased multi - skilled engineers / controls and systems engineers / maintenance engineers / project engineers who have worked in high volume, process driven environments i.e. chemical, food, agro - chemical, automotive, pharmaceutical, refining, or similar.The main purposes of this role are: to ensure current and future requirements for electrical power distribution, control systems and instrumentation are met to provide technical expertise and support in all aspects of ECI across the company develop and implement contingency plans and ensure site complies with all EHS requirements and maintenance needs.This role covers a full range of responsibilities and activities, including: Responsibility for promoting and contributing towards a positive and proactive Environmental, Health and Safety culture throughout the engineering teams including ensuring compliance with all EHS procedures including incident recording and quality standards are followedContributing actively to equipment suitability auditing and ensuring a programme of equipment inspection is in place, especially significant considering the hazardous nature of areas on siteImplement and enforce the following of Standards for Safety Instrumentation Systems and safe operation of all electrical and electronic equipment.Ensuring contractors perform to the standards demanded by the company including EHS and SecurityIdentify and implement improvement, cost saving and sustainable opportunities. This is a challenging role the successful applicant will need to be flexible, determined and self - motivated, and technically competent. Candidates must hold a minimum of degree level or equivalent qualification in electrical / controls / systems. Previous experience of working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment is highly desirable, as is experience of SAP. A close working relationship with the Senior ECI Engineer and regular liaison with Production Management, Maintenance Teams, internal departments, contractors and HR means good communication and people skills are essential.
