A well-established IT support company with customers all over the world is recruiting an experienced Finance Bookkeeper. They are a friendly close-knit team of 13, offer hybrid working (2 days in the office), and often get together for team building events.
We seek an experienced bookkeeper with a strong finance and IT background. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in bookkeeping and financial management, along with IT systems and software experience. This is not an entry-level position; we need someone ready to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular bank reconciliations.
2. Maintain customer information, asset lists, and manage Microsoft subscriptions.
3. Answer customer and supplier queries via phone and email.
4. Process AP invoices and set up supplier payments.
5. Provide payroll information to an external provider, set up payslip payments, and create payroll journals in Xero.
6. Process AR invoices, create monthly support and labour invoices, and set up direct debit collections.
7. Submit quarterly VAT returns through Xero.
8. Liaise with external accountants on year-end accounts.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant certifications (AAT or ICB Bookkeeping) are a plus.
2. Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Xero) and Excel.
3. Experience in Microsoft Office and the IT sector.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of payroll processes and VAT regulations is a plus.
