Job Title: FP&A, Senior Manager - Emerging Markets A little bit about our team: The Recorded Music (RM) Finance Department at WMG is responsible for handling the worldwide financial operations of the company's recorded music businesses. The Emerging Markets (EM) team are responsible for growing and dynamic markets, recently established WMG affiliates as well as potential target territories that do not currently have a local WMG operations. In these markets, the EM team are looking to establish a tangible presence, capitalising on the local trajectory through organic, marketing of international roster and signing new artists, as well as inorganic growth through investment opportunities. Your role: The FP&A Senior Manager will work closely with EM Finance and central FP&A team to assist with deal analysis (i.e. A&R, Licensing, JV/Profit Share, Administration, M&A), operating performance/delivery tracking, market/competitive analysis, strategic opportunities and ad-hoc projects as needed. The FP&A Senior Manager will: - Support EM M&A process through partnership with key stakeholders and support of the team, from initial target assessment, in-depth financial modelling and market and potential target analysis, due diligence, regular executive committee updates to close and integration; conduct pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analyses and valuations. - Work in partnership with FP&A and EM Finance (Regional and local) to develop financial models and strategic assessments for new and existing artists and writers, investments in new businesses and technologies, significant transactions and postmortem analyses - Manage approval process for executive approval-level deals, including preparation and submission of transaction summaries, board presentations, deal commentaries, valuations, etc. - Liaise with Regional and local finance teams to ensure financial accuracy and consistency with budgets and forecasts - Interact with cross-functional groups to ensure progress through deal approval process - Provide regular updates to senior management on status of ongoing deal analysis Here you'll get to: - You will play a key role in the Emerging Markets growth strategy - You will develop a thorough understanding of the music business and what drives its performance. - You will play a key role in evaluating prospective targets as well as the performance of completed transactions. - You will understand how each different department within WMG contributes to its operations, building a comprehensive understanding of the business and what drives success and failures. - You will work alongside EM finance and the Corporate finance teams, experiencing how the two departments must interact to ensure sustainable success. About you: - 5-8 years of finance-related experience in corporate finance, consulting, business development, transaction services or another analytic role - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint - Ability to communicate with senior level management team - Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop - Ability to work independently as well as to work as part of a team - Clear and organised written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills - You can?manage multiple deadlines and urgent tasks - You are willing to learn a little bit of everything - You are excellent at?listening, interpreting, and?communicating - You are curious and ask questions We'd love it if you also had: - Knowledge of and/or experience in music/media industry - STEM Degree at University level of equivalent.
