Our client, a leader in Access & Architectural Steelwork, is renowned for their innovative design, installation, and consultation services. They are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and help shape the future of their impressive projects. If you have a passion for precision and a strong background in steelwork, this is the perfect role for you Key areas of responsibility: Programme: Develop, update, and distribute internal and external project schedules in accordance with client specifications. Populate and manage project review documents, coordinating responsibilities across departments to achieve desired results. Design: Monitor, manage, and schedule the design process for each project, ensuring accurate and timely submission of designs within tender allowances. Coordinate internal design reviews for all scope items before design approval, involving site managers/supervisors to ensure buildability. Ensure timely issuance of comprehensive fabrication packs to fabrication/procurement teams. Commercial: Consistently update project cost documents and forecast costs for all project phases (from design to installation) to facilitate budget monitoring. Identify and highlight potential cost issues or opportunities as they arise. Maintain and issue site progress records and forecasts to enable accurate applications for payment. Review and approve project invoicing and ensure accurate record-keeping. Site Activities: Plan, monitor, and optimise site activities, ensuring adequate resources are allocated for efficient work execution. Ensure all site activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and that required paperwork is submitted, approved, and kept up-to-date. Establish and maintain a health and safety file at the beginning of each project, ensuring its ongoing upkeep. Coordinate regular on-site safety inspections and provide subsequent reports to the main contractor for necessary action. Follow up on any safety concerns raised by the main contractor and obtain formal closure. Key attributes: Proficient in architectural metalwork, including design, fabrication, and installation. Holds NVQ Level 6 qualification. Possesses health and safety accreditation. Demonstrates strong organisational skills. Thrives on the challenge of managing projects from design to completion.
