We are looking for a Locum Band 6 Physiotherapist to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at DMRC Stanford Hall, in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Hours:
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday: 8 AM to 5 PM
• Friday: 8 AM to 12 PM
Pay rates:
PAYE:
You may choose to be engaged as a PAYE agency worker of MMP and be paid through our payroll.
PAYE rate per hour £27.05 = Base hourly pay rate £24.14 plus 12.07% accrued holiday pay £2.91 (Band 6)
Please note relevant income tax, employee National Insurance contributions, and any other statutory deductions will be taken at source through the MMP PAYE system and you will receive payment net of those deductions.
UMBRELLA:
You may decide to be employed and paid through an umbrella company.
The equivalent Umbrella rate per hour is: £30.78 (Band 6)
Please note this is not the amount paid into your account but the hourly rate MMP will pay to your chosen umbrella company for each hour you work. The umbrella company will then make any necessary deductions (umbrella fee, employer NI contributions, etc.) before the remaining amount to you as your taxable gross pay/salary.
Essential Requirements:
• HCPC Registration
• Membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
• Clinical experience in:
o Musculoskeletal disorders
o Sports injuries
o Orthopaedic conditions
o Mobilization and manipulation
• 2+ years of post-graduate clinical experience in MSK disorders
• Previous experience in a physiotherapist band 6 role or equivalent
About the Role: The role involves working within the Armed Forces' rehabilitation system, which includes:
• Primary Care Rehabilitation Facilities (PCRFs):
o Assessing and treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries
o Providing rehabilitation plans and exercise advice
• Regional Rehabilitation Units (RRUs):
o Working in a multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat complex injuries
o Providing specialist opinions and treatment plans
• Stanford Hall - Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC):
o Providing consultant-led rehabilitation services for patients with serious injuries
o Maximizing functional capability and quality of life
In essence, the Senior Physiotherapist will be responsible for:
• Assessing and diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Providing rehabilitation and exercise therapy
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Supporting patients' return to duty or civilian life
