Job summary
The Dermatology department are a friendly, dynamic team, working in a varied and fast paced outpatient area. We provide general, surgical, and nurse-led clinics at the NNUH and Cromer hospital.
This post would be based predominantly at the NNUH site. We have in the past provided clinics in community GP surgeries and though this is not currently happening there may be a need for this again in the future.
Main duties of the job
Our healthcare assistants work alongside medical and nursing colleagues supporting both general and surgical clinics which include, biopsy and excisions.
Working alongside medical and nursing colleagues offers a supported learning environment with the opportunity to develop a variety of dermatological skills related to further investigations and surgery.
We have a dermatology specific competency package so you can monitor your progress and development.

Job responsibilities
14. To accurately and promptly carry out the instructions of the Registered Nurse who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care.
15. To deliver care and carry out duties as specified within the Trusts Approved core task list for Healthcare assistants.
16. To report to Registered Nurse any patient who gives cause for concern or any observed changes in the patients condition.
17. To respond appropriately to clinical emergencies to ensure the patient receives appropriate care.
18. To participate in the admission process under the supervision of the Registered Nurse
19. Provide and deliver a high standard of individualised personal nursing care.
20. To report all care that has been given to patients within the team to a Registered Nurse.
21. To accurately document all care delivered to patients, countersigned by a Registered Nurse maintaining confidentiality at all times.
