Location: Fulford Road Police Station, York. There is the expectation that you will cover both North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue estates (primarily North Yorkshire and theCity of York, as and when required) and pool vehicle is provided for these requirements. Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of Logistic Support Officers. The role is varied and involves working within our Estates team and Fleet workshops to ensure that buildings are well maintained, and our vehicles are serviced and repaired. As a Logistic Support Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular checks for any potential danger to personnel on site and ensure the team are working safely and in line with Health and Safety procedures, regulations, and corporate requirements of the Health and Safety Committee. You will work in collaboration with customers, to continue to improve the service delivery in the implantation of the service catalogue and associated key performance indicators within your area following Enable NY processes and policies. This may include working out of hours. You will work with the Assets Team which covers Estates, Fleet and Logistics. The fleet is made up of approx. 680 vehicle and the Estate numbers almost 100 buildings, split between the two services. Key responsibilities: Responsible for minor items of repair and maintenance to the fabric of the buildings for the benefit and safety of client and contractors. Including the minor repair of fixtures and fittings. Responsible for all planned preventative maintenance on site, including but not limited to proactive and reactive work. Ensure regular checks external areas for any potential danger to personnel on site. Promote the service catalogue, associated tools, and SLAs, ensuring they are clearly understood by service users and colleagues. Organising of vehicle services, vehicle checks and movement of vehicles across the County. General driving duties, including transportation of force mail, goods, and equipment. The secure movement of Exhibits around the force and outside agencies following force procedure. Conduct office moves and the setting up of rooms for meetings and briefing. Manage day to day enquires and provide advice and guidance. Plan, prioritise and manage workloads, in the event of conflicting priorities, provide a single point of contact, liaison and escalation for all logistic support services. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders. Ensure the team are working safely and in line with Health and Safety procedures, regulations, and corporate requirements of the Health and Safety Committee. Responsible for ad hoc inspections of all force buildings and record findings to monitor standards and delivery against agreed KPIs. Requirements: To be successful in this role you must have the following: Current driving licence. Customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Experience of using IT systems and MS Office High level of attention to detail Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, including COSHH regulations and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures.
