FLI Water has an exciting opportunity to join a growing H&S team looking after our Framework projects in the Severn Trent area. FLI Water Limited is part of the FLI Group of companies and provides engineering service and process technologies to the water and wastewater, utilities, food and beverage, power, and industrial process industries. FLI Water is centrally located in the Bedford area of the UK, where our fabrication workshop and engineering design office is located. Essentials - the successful applicant will hold a UK driving licence, be happy to travel to sites several times a week and required to come to the Head office (Kempston) once a week. Do you have a proven track record of providing health, safety, and environmental support to the water industry. Do you hold the following qualifications: NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent and ideally have a CSCS card. Then we'd be keen to hear from you. The type of person we are looking for is a team player, who can self-manage, with the ability to cope under pressure and possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written - there will be report writing) This role’s key responsibilities will include: - To assist the SHEQ Manager in planning and promotion of health safety and environmental performance for our Framework projects. - Monitor the health, safety, environment and quality performance on the framework projects under your control and take such steps as are necessary to improve the performance. - Using Safety Culture to undertake audits and inspections of framework projects (on site). Advise actions and ensure actions are completed within agreed timeframes. - Support the site managers and contractors with using digital tools for monitoring performance. - Attend client and site meetings as and when required. - Undertake investigations and reporting of accidents, near misses and poor safety trends. Liaison with external parties such as HSE, if required. - Prepare monthly health & safety reports both for the client and internally. - Ensure that the requirements under the company’s integrated management system are followed accordingly and to ensure that the projects you cover are doing the same. - Co-ordinate with the SHEQ Department in all health, safety, environment and quality matters in relation to third party certifications. This role will be based at our offices in Kempston as well as on site – across Leicestershire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. This role will be involved extensive travel across our sites across Leicestershire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. There will be a requirement of four days per month in our office in Kempston, Bedfordshire
