Carbon60 is working with a well-known and respected wastewater treatment company that specializes in installing products to keep wastewater treatment plants operating efficiently across the UK and Ireland.
The role we are recruiting for is a Project Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the site works are delivered on time and within budget. You will serve as a site engineer, liaising and managing our supply chain and subcontract team.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review all applicable contract documents and briefs, POs, project plans, specifications, and provide comments when applicable.
2. Coordinate with other departments and Project Engineers/Managers to meet scheduled task deadlines; prioritize staff workload to meet goals; assign warranty items to engineering staff.
3. Schedule and conduct project review and proposals review meetings, focusing on terms and conditions of contracts, scope of supply, cost, construction, and project scheduling.
4. Advise the Project Manager of project status while adhering to all appropriate policies and established safety procedures.
5. Report any variations to the Project Manager, including costs and problems that may change the forecast delivery, profitability, and warranty of contracts.
Education, Training and Experience
1. HNC or higher in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
2. Related experience in an engineering or project management environment, plus experience in delivering work.
3. Knowledge of conditions of contract, particularly NEC.
4. CSR Gold Card.
5. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, other MS Office programs, and IT systems (e.g., network + email) and ERP systems.
6. Travel: Travel in the UK and Ireland will be required to fulfill the role.
7. Overnight: You may be required to stay away from home on occasions, which will be planned in advance.
Location: Newry
Salary: £40k-£50k
Hours: 8 - 5.30 Monday to Thursday, 8 - 1 on Fridays.
